Full or Split Log, Kiln or Air Dried?
What's the Difference? Kiln or Air Dried Logs. You will hear a lot of conflicting information about kiln dried versus air-dried logs based upon the log home company you talk to. Golden Eagle Log Homes uses both methods. The main thing you should be concerned about, whichever method of drying is used, is that your log home is built properly by a builder trained in log home construction.
If you do not have a builder and don't know where to get one, don't worry. Golden Eagle Log Homes works with a number of experienced log home builders. We even offer training seminars to builders throughout the year in order to educated them about the unique process of building a log home. We have a list of experienced builders to choose from, no matter what part of the country you are building in.
